This project will make it possible for teams from Naval Group, as well as those from our customer and partner companies, to come together on one and the same site. It includes the transfer of employees from the sites of Saint-Tropez, Toulon-Lagoubran and Ollioules-Euclide.

Apart from the transfer of teams and their activities, the project will enable us to develop our working methods in terms of both tertiary activities and production. The choice of architectural design reflects this desire by creating a modern industrial tool with a functional working environment, designed to promote creativity, collaboration, new ways of working and efficiency.
Both modern and integrated into its environment, it aims to address the group’s priority business challenges (flexibility, possible extension, promoting new ways of working, etc.) while meeting the highest environmental safety standards and respecting the peace and quiet of the local area. These future standards are in the process of being defined thanks to the work carried out within the framework of the working groups. The building will be equipped with the necessary systems for the design, development, production and through-life support (TLS) of drones, autonomous systems and underwater weapons. The project is being implemented jointly with the ecosystem, State services, industrial partners, local residents and the academic community.

Our project is the continuation of an industrial tradition in the region stretching back more than 100 years: the factory of Bormettes was created in 1907 and that of Saint-Tropez in 1912.

The site of La Londe-les-Maures is a historical site whose contribution to the industry of French sovereignty is the pride of the town. The rehabilitation of this site will enable the creation of a centre of excellence for drones, autonomous systems and underwater weapons by 2028, situated close to its customers, the French Navy and French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA), thus driving the group’s ambition to become a leader in these areas.
In order to keep this rich industrial history alive with pride, Naval Group calls on everyone, both employees and citizens of La Londe-les-Maures, to promote the memory of its two sites.
Whether a former or new employee, local resident or history enthusiast, all are invited to send photos, videos, documents and written or audio testimonials about the industrial life of Bormettes and Saint-Tropez, between January and July 2025, to the following address:
A selection of these testimonials will be shared on Naval Group’s website.
And who knows, an exhibition may also be on the horizon.
Respectful of the environment and firmly committed to five sustainable development goals proposed by the United Nations, Naval Group aims to make this site a showcase, corresponding to the highest environmental and safety standards.

The group hopes to demonstrate that reindustrialisation can be combined with respect for the environment and local residents.
This will involve exemplary design choices, with a sustainable development building meeting high environmental quality (HQE) requirements and industrial facilities designed to minimise its impact:
- a Biodiversity and HQE labelled project;
- use of materials such as white concrete, wood and brass;
- a bioclimatic building;
- recovery of rainwater from roofs;
- low carbon footprint during construction;
- production of renewable energy for the consumption of our site.
Naval Group is particularly interested in the protection of fauna and flora. Three biodiversity zones are planned on the site in order to meet the goal of protecting the environment:
- planting of drought-resistant Mediterranean flora;
- planting of 400 trees, thus doubling their number on the site;
- preservation of about 15 animal species present on the site;
- 60% green spaces on site.
The development project to reindustrialise Naval Group’s site will make it possible to improve the hydraulic management of the area.

Major actions to be undertaken include:
- removal of the walls at the edge of the site to facilitate the flow of water;
- the addition of several rainwater management ditches;
- tripling the number of sea outlets for rainwater in order to reduce the risk of flooding;
- contribution to projects to improve the hydraulic management of the district: extension of the Maravenne Canal;
- the creation of three new hydraulic passages under Schneider Boulevard to evacuate runoff from the Bormettes district directly to the sea;
- building adaptations: offices and company restaurants on stilts, installation of industrial halls on embankments;
- a constant level of permeability before and after the project.
