Rencontres Inspir'elles: a unique day to inspire students!

Muriel, Stéphanie... Two first names that will certainly be remembered by the 17 middle school students who participated in the Inspir'elles meeting held in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin at the end of 2025. The students prepared this meeting at length and thought each question with curiosity and spontaneity, before asking them for more than an hour to Muriel Lenglin, director of the Naval Group site in Cherbourg, and Stéphanie Gaiffe, director of the Orano La Hague site.

The two directors were able to talk passionately about their academic and professional careers. They also shared their vision in all transparency of the management of responsibilities and the place of women in the industrial sector.

No doubt the richness of these exchanges will have marked the minds and managed to convince the students present that nothing is impossible and that industry is reaching out to them to achieve their ambitions.

The action initiated by the Departmental Directorate of Employment, Labour and Solidarity (DDETS) and the Normandy Vocational Training Agency was deployed as part of the Industry Week, with the support of Naval Group, Orano and the Union of Metallurgical Industries and Trades (UIMM). Faced with the enthusiasm of the students, the concept will be repeated in other establishments in Cotentin.
